I
guess it depends on where you shop. If you know the reputation of the
store your doing business with chances are they will lead you in the
right direction but beware.
If you shop at a Retail Mattress Store, take a look around and if the average price for a new mattress is in the $2000 to $3000 dollar range for example folks know Tempur-pedic is a great quality mattress and so is a Sealy but each company makes mattresses to meet everyones budget and the quality will vary and if your tight on money a Sealy at $699 bucks would seem like a great buy. Right? I mean it's a national name brand so how can you go wrong? Think about it for a second, the first clue is the average prices are around two grand so why can I buy one for $699? It's called a traffic getter just to make people feel they have good bargains all over the store, then they have a opportunitytry to hook you on a more expensive mattress. Chances are the special deal is made inferior and won't last because the lower the price, the lower the quality, and there just is no way around that.
